Leaving in 2 Days; a follow up on our trip, journey, thoughts and pictures of our new life out there.
Aug 26, 2010 news
Well, for the better part of the past few months, our life has been mostly wrapped up neatly and nicely in tupperware bins, color coded by type of item and what room it belongs too when we unload. Last night, I dismantled our bedroom suite and the guest bedroom suite and pulled our sleeper coach out and then this morning I picked up and paid for our seventeen foot u-haul and auto-transport-trailer. I have shared in the past that my emotions have been mixed, part stress, part ready for the adventure and still part of me saddened by the friends, my heritage, my family and memories of places I will leave behind. Driving that u-Haul back to our townhouse, somehow seemed to wash most of that over with understanding. It truly hit me how soon we are moving, but how right it is. Though I remain sad, right now the sense of adventure and pursuit of the Kingdom, seems to be outweighing the odds.
A Letter for Family & Friends
Aug 24, 2010 news
Family & Friends,
As most of you know, by now, we are in the process of moving to Orange County California, where Katie was raised, just 4 miles from where we became engaged in 2005 at a restaurant called ‘Dukes Grille’; which is right on Huntington Beach in Southern California.
After we were engaged, God led us, without a doubt, back to downtown Lancaster Pennsylvania in the December of 2005. Jeff was born and raised in Lancaster and Katie always wanted to live there. It is where we met in 2004, as Katie was out east for college and Jeff returning from a tour and meeting by chance in the Lyndon Diner. It is also where we were married, March 18 2006, at a church Jeff spent some time in growing up.

By August, Thy Signs of Change!
Aug 5, 2010 news
Do you ever feel like everything is moving at a pace that is extremely fast and depressingly slow? I know that is what we feel like right now. We have been sad when we think of leaving the East Coast but happy to look forward our move to the West Coast as well. We are going to be leaving for California just weeks before Jeff’s beautiful hometown of Lancaster Pennsylvania will dance in the fall wind with deep colored trees of red, yellow, brown and orange. The city’s brick sidewalks will be pasted with the leaves, from the cool misting fall rains and Square One Coffee should be doing their hot Carmel and Hot Apple Cider specialty. Lancaster is where all Jeff’s family and our best friends have been for generations on generations, it’s weird to be the one leaving for so far away.
Riddle for Packing Experts

This is what Katie and I will be moving with, we have downsized and shredded a room and half worth of stuff, but this is things that are sentimental or at the time, irreplaceable, for us. We have a 17′ Truck….can it fit and what methods do you recommend?
The Route (Are you Along it?)
Jul 27, 2010 news
On August 31 we will be hitting the open road with a 17′ uHaul and a trailer for our minivan. We will be traveling mostly along cross country interstate 40. We will take four days and three nights, much slower then our past trips across country. We will try to stop and take pictures and blog the journey.
the journey begins…

Sometimes God has a really interesting way to get our attention for the next stages of our lives. Three months ago Jeff and his co-workers, were left go from their job. Three months and about 300 applications later, we hit our doomsday where everything was due and the bank account was empty as the pantry, no work and no way to get out of our own way, we decided to press into the Father’s heart and see what he wanted for us in the here and now.
